6.5.003

Released: 2022-10-28

  • New: It is now possible to use Swedish national annex EKS 12, BFS 2022-4. (Case 122075)
  • Fix: For a case with point loads situated directly on supports shear forces where wrongly shown which is corrected (case 118310).

  • Fix: An issue in the file handling process blocked files saved in 6.5.000 from being opened in 6.5..001, "Unexpected file format" (Case 101734).

  • Fix: cot(theta) is no longer shown in the printout when EN 6.2.2 is used (Case 93667).
  • Fix: Deflection diagram legend now correctly specifies the black line as 'Total last (oprucket)' in Swedish (Case 94032).
  • Fix: Reduced the number of requested licenses from Concrete Beam (Case 100272).

6.5.000

Released: 2020-08-12

  • Fix: According to the rules for minimum reinforcement for beams and slabs in EC2 it is allowed for secondary elements where risk for brittle failure can be accepted to limit the amount to 1.2 times the required reinforcement. This option has been added (Case 9312).
  • Fix: Total reinforcement due to possible increase with regard to crack- or deflection criterion was not displayed in the printout which has been corrected (Case 50516).
  • Fix: For user defined concrete materials the tension capacity fctd was not affected by a change of the coefficient Gamma_c which has been corrected (Case 59072).
  • Fix: A description for all loads can from now on be added (Case 83195).
  • Fix: For the special case with inclined stirrups together with a point load in the vicinity of the shear zero point the stirrups where drawn wrongly in the graphical presentation which is corrected (Case 89193).
  • Fix: For T-sections with variable web the design could in some cases not be performed which has been corrected (Case 89223).
  • Fix: The manual has been revised (Case 90133).
  • Fix: For an example with a number of point loads defined as variable the shear force diagram showed  wrongly calculated peaks which has been corrected (Case 90162).
  • Fix: Shear diagram could be incorrectly drawn when large point loads were applied right above supports (Case 90225)
  • Fix: For an example the correct design shear force at a point load was not found due to a problem introduced in the latest version of the program which is corrected (Case 90366).
  • Fix: For a case with negative load the maximum moment shown graphically and in the result table was not the same which has been corrected (Case 90400).
  • Fix: For very large reinforcement area > 32500 mm2 the table presentation showed a random value. The number of bars was correct as this was only a presentation problem which is corrected (Case 90525).
  • Fix: For an example the reinforcement was wrongly displayed when the stirrup angle was defined as 45 degrees which is corrected (case 90527).

6.4.012

Released: 2019-07-08

  • Fix: For an example the shear force used in the web shear failure check was overestimated which is corrected case (51766).
  • Fix: The width of the dropdown part of the comobox for the Exposure class has been increased to be able to contain the entire class name (case 58163).
  • Fix: For a rather odd loadcase the shear diagram representation was slightly wrong which has been corrected (case 78899).
  • Fix: The table showing general material data had disappeared from the printout which has been corrected (case 79310).
  • Fix: Because of an error the result tables in the printout had disappeared which has been corrected (case 79414).
  • Fix: For a  somewhat odd loadcase  the shear diagram was not absolutely correct which has been corrected (case 79596).

6.4.011

Released: 2019-05-09

  • Fix: Under Geometry - Support the designation "Length" for column measurement has been changed to "Width" (case 58986).
  • Fix: Addressed the issue of the main window starting up in old window coordinates, such as a projector or monitor not connected anymore hence the main window not being visible (Case 59049)
  • Fix: Addressed the issue of the 'latest opened files' sometimes point at invalid file paths (Case 71671).
  • Fix: The program underestimated, in some cases, the maximum crack spacing Sr,max which is corrected (case 77950).
  • Fix: A small adjustment in the shear reinforcement table has been performed. (case 77900).

Released: 2016-11-08

  • Fix: Required shear reinforcement was too low compared to design shear force for a certain design area in mid span (Case 45292).

  • Fix: Reworked the way user defined materials are used and shown in the material tab (Case 39244).
  • Fix: Calculation settings for concrete tensile strength (fct,eff) are now properly set for all spans (Case 41173).

  • Fix: A message informing that the dead load of the beam has to be defined and is not added automatically is now displayed at the load input (case 20820).
  • Fix: Deformation adjusted for total load when long-term coefficient is zero (case 33183).
  • Fix: When defining a cantilever beam fixed at the right end the fixed support was wrongly displayed at the left end instead which has been corrected (case 33581).
  • Fix: It is from now on possible to choose the concrete tensile strength as fctm or fctm,fl. For the Swedish annex also a third option is available (case 37468).
  • Fix: The changed minimum reinforcement area for slabs according to the new Swedish annex EKS 10 has been implemented (case 37469).

Released: 2015-10-28

  • Fix: Serviceability calculation was not possible after increasing the reinforcement which has been corrected (Case 33784).
  • Fix: The plastic design option should only be visible for the Danish annex which has been corrected (Case 33784).

  • Updated license handling (added FlexNet support).
  • Fix: In some cases a reduced shear design result table where shown the first time a design was performed but after a second design the full information was displayed. This has been corrected (Case 24462).
  • Fix: For an example the shear reinforcement was designed with regard to the max shear force instead of a reduced force according to EC2 6.2.3 (5) which is corrected (Case 27041).

  • Fix: The decimal on values added through in the graphical user interface were sometimes removed.
  • Fix: Fctm is now used as nominal crack stress in calculating the crack moment (Case 22826).
  • Fix: Removed limit to fyk (500 MPa) for shear reinforcement (Case 19512).
  • Fix: Under certain circumstances point loads at beam ends could be excluded from the analysis (Case 21487).

  • Fixed: Creep value was incorrectly reset to zero when opening saved files (Case 19020).

  • Fix: The value of max shear force Vmax has been added to the result table for shear reinforcement and the shear force Vsd is now always showing the shear force at the design section (Case 16717).
  • Fix: Information about when selected bending reinforcement is due to minimum requirements has been added to the result table (Case 15715).
  • Fix: Moved all program specific settings and databases to the user profile folder to avoid potential user rights issues.

  • Default language has been changed to English.
  • Calculation of min. reinforcement for plates was wrong in some cases which have been corrected.
  • The max shear check according to EC2 6.2.1 (8) was in some cases not made with regard to the max shear force which has been corrected.
  • A bug causing the shear capacity being too low as no bending reinforcement where found at the first mm of the beam in an example has been corrected.
  • A symmetric example producing non-symmetric shear reinforcement has been corrected.

  • The shear design value cot q was not displayed in the printout which is corrected.
  • When a file was double clicked on the program started with a new file instead of the chosen one which is corrected.
  • In some cases the min reinforcement at bottom was calculated according to the top diameter instead of the bottom diameter which is corrected.
  • Fixed a bug which resulted in the Input button being grayed out when a span length of 0 mm was given.

Released: 2012-12-21

  • Updated the installation file to accomodate the new StruSoft Installer.
  • A warning when the capacity for web shear failure is exceeded has been added and the check is now in red text to be more visible when this is the case. Also some designations has been changed to follow the code.
