Input (Settlement)
The Input menu option makes it possible to state all necessary input data to describe the current calculation problem. The user finds the options Title, Geometry, Ground properties, Settlement and Loads. These are described in the following chapters.
Title
The Title option shows a dialog box where information on the calculation can be defined.
Geometry
Here the slab dimensions (width, length and thickness) are defined.
Ground properties
The user enters the current foundation level, the distance from the lower edge of the slab to a potential ground water level and the soil density above and below grroundwater level.
The soil type should also be chosen in the dropdown menu.
Settlement
In this window the acceptable settlement, safety factor γRd with regards to unsecurities of the model and the soil layer thicknesses for the layers that should be part of the calculation.
Cohesionless soil
By clicking the More... button in the Settlement window the following information will become available to enter:
Sättningsberäkning med hjälp av E-modul
Characteristic E-moduli and accompaning safety factors γm are defined for each soil layer.
Sättningsberäkning med hjälp av spetsmotstånd
Characteristic peak resistance values qck and accompaning safety factors γm are defined for each soil layer.
Cohesive soil
By clicking the More... button in the Settlement window the following information will become available to enter:
With this soil type the calculation is assumed to be based on results from ödometer tests (See [2] 2.67). Characteristic values of compression modules M and preconsolidated pressure σ along with accompaning safety factors γm are defined for each soil layer.
Medium soil
By clicking the More... button in the Settlement window the following information will become available to enter:
With this soil type the calculation is assumed to be based on results from dilatometer tests (See [2] 2.66). Characteristic values of compression modules M with accompaning safety factors γm are defined for each soil layer.
Loads
Here the surface ground preassure that affects the soil should be specified.
The deadloads of the slab and soil above the foundation object are calculated by the program and are added and shown in the window above.
